Question Too many miles on chassis?

I have a 1998 240sx with about 175,000 miles on it. Recently, it has begun to smoke a bit during take off due to piston ring failure; other than that the car is in near perfect condition. I'm about to start a new job and school and need a reliable car. I've had the car four years now and would hate to part with it. I can afford an sr20 swap. However due to the amount of miles on the chassis, is it worth it too me to keep the car and swap the engine. I'll have the money later on to fix other things that will be going wrong with the car as it ages further. All suggestions welcome.

as long as its not rusted or bent its fine miles mean nothing esp with stock suspension or just a spring/strut combo.

now if u have coilovers no cage and have been racing every weekend for 5 years u might start to see body panels not line up right.

but general DD even with coilovers your chassis will be perfectly fine with 170,000miles and will still be fine with 300,000 miles

Since its just a dd I'd say just find a decent KA and swap that in. Cheaper (and more legal) than an SR20, less down time, and easier to fix in the future. SRs are fun too though.
