technically he's correct. your tires are what actually stop the car when you brake. so super brakes and crappy tires, mean you'll lock 'em up and not really stop that much better. good tires will significantly improving stopping distance.

although he is incorrect on what people on this forum like/want.

 

its spelled Opinion and no its not its fact big brakes are useless unless you have the grip to stop. hmm well they look nice but thats it. big brakes+small tires actually hinders your braking ability.

 

i only said most people like stretched tires i didnt say all because i dont and i know a few members that dont. didnt mean anything by it
