Overheating Help!

Just got a 240 guy told me it overheated, and it does it has a good thermostat good radiator good water pump, im thinkin head gasket. Also after i crank it up and drive it and it gets hot i turn it off then try to crank it again and it wont crank for like 45 min then cranks right back up.....same thing all over again drive it til it gets hots then after i shut it off it takes 45 min before it will crank again.....help!

have you checked the temp sensor? is there oil in the coolant? or water in the oil? another way you can check the head gasket is to remove the radiator cap and start the care if you get a bunch of bubbles like the coolant is boiling but isnt hot enough to be boiling then its probablly the head gasket. if not try bleeding the system air bubbles can cause this also but is not normaly the issue
