i checked my ecu again.. and it is tight.

I took off my BOV so it shouldnt make a difference now.

I dont know what side pipe on the drivers side is. but i dont think its an issue. and i do have some kindof old gas in there. but its also mixed with regular gas. so its half and half. ill probalby get that out of there tomorrow so that its not a problem and refill it with new gas.

i dont believe that its going to be the way that my spark plugs are firing because when i do get it reved up it does stay at a certain rpm and it runs smoothly then. but everyonce and a while it will change a little.. by boggin down or goin up just a little bit..( if any of this helps)

I dont have a way of checking to see what codes my ECU is throwing. were do you suggest that i go to get that checked?

does your ecu not have a screw to check for codes? if not, then its either a reman ecu or an E5. either way, borrow/buy a 62 ecu (redtop) and go from there.

never mind, i didnt know what i was tihnking. i got it to throw a code.. and it threw a 13 and just a 13. 13 is my engine coolant temperature sensor. how do i tell whats wrong or how do i fix it without wrecking the stick harness..? from what i remember.. there was actually one wire or so thats was broken in my harness.. it was dirty orange it looked like. that or maybe evena brown. could this be the wire?

well i unplugged my ECT and my O2 sensor and one injector. just to see what kindof code that it would throw. then it was throwing a 55 which is no malfunction. then i though that soething was messed up so i plugged all 3 of those back in and now its still throwing that 55. so idk waht it is but its still doing the same thing.

i guess the only think that i know of that might be messin is up is the wires taht i talked about.

YES!!! wtf... the ECT sensor MUST BE HOOKED UP!!! it tells the ECU what temp the motor is at so it can tune properly. the fans dont run of it anymore if you have an SR swap. your fans should be independently wired. why would it ever seem like a good idea to run your motor without an important sensor hooked up?

I found out that my head gasket was out so i got it changed and now it doesn't over heat. but i am still having a problem with the way it is running. cylinders 1 and 4 are firing right and its the 2nd and 3rd that keep skipping back and forth.. one will fire first.. then the other will fire first.. we thought that it was the ignitor chip because of a small crack in it. so i replaced it and found no success.. i dont have the origional 52f00 mafs in there i have the one off my old ka. my mechanic says that it has to be either the mafs or the ECU. when the mafs is unplugged the car runs a little bit smoother.
Does anyone know what i should do or check? and if you think i should replace my mafs.. where can i find the sr20det one (22680-52f00)? i have searched everywhere. but i did find a 22680-sr20de? would this work?
